Maxine Blane, KZN SPNP member was partially sponsored by SPNP National and KZN Branch to attend the Advanced Management of Lymphoedema course offered by The Lymphoedema Training Academy Ltd.
She has attained great results and we proudly share this note from Maxine;
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to KZN SPNP and to Regional SPNP for subsidizing my course held in March 2019. The funds went a long way in assisting my travels and accommodation and part of the course. I really appreciate the fact that you considered my criteria and sponsored me.
I completed my course with an A – 84% in my exam and my practicals were successful, and I received my certification in FG MLD. The only Nursing Sister in the country with this qualification! There were PHD’s, OT’s, Physio’s and Orthotists in the class.
My case studies and Reflections were completed and emailed to the UK.
Four of our members received grants to do the above online course.
Anmarie du Preez gave us some insight:
I have completed 2x modules of the course so far and it is really very informative and beneficial.
The slides are well structured and I love the narrative voice along with the slides, explaining the slide content (I am almost equally a visual AND auditory learner). The online/technical aspect is very easy to manage and operate.
I have recently done an Immunization short course and Module 2 (“role of nutrition in optimal growth and immunity”) tied in perfectly with my new knowledge.
Thus far I am really enjoying this course and I am looking forward to the other modules.
